Kii Nagashima

Kii Nagashima is about an hour by car from Owase. It is also the place where we would be conducting our Singapore cooking class for more than 20 obasans in mid November.

Two Sundays ago, we took a trip there to rehearse (yes, an actual rehearsal with timekeepers and measurement of exactly how much water, salt, sugar and other ingredients we added into the dishes) for the class.

The menu:
- Yong Tau Foo in Black Bean Sauce
- Prawn Omelette
- Sweet Potato Soup

Pity we are unable to teach Curry Chicken or Bat Kut Teh 'cause the ingredients are not readily available in the supermarkets here.

After the rehearsal we took a leisurely walk in the surrounding area and found Kii Nagashima to be a beautiful place, with nature aplenty.

Dinner was great. Our hosts made Chirasu Zushi (meaning scattered sushi) and Kushiage.
